The Flying Dutchman « Thread Started on Jun 15, 2008, 1:42pm »
((For Flying Dutchman Members (Crew, Davy Jones, and Kimarie, even if there are prisoners in the brig.) But there is no captain yet, so I probably wouldn't put in any battles/visitors until there is. ))
Dark Grey clouds blotted out the sun and the sky. The wind was beginning to whip the sails around. Strong waves were pilling higher and rocking the boat more violently. The crew was busy working and doing their jobs around the ship, keeping the Dutchman on coarse and at a steady speed. A haunting sound of an organ drifted across the ship like cold fog.
Kimarie walks down the stairs and the hallway to her father's cabin door. She takes a deep breath, hearing the organ playing the similar tune to the locket. She opens the door slightly just enough for her to look in, old hinges creaking faintly. There he was, hunched over his organ, tentacles flowing smoothly over the keys.
She closes the door and takes a step back. The captain hadn't been in a good mood these past few days. One rule, ever since she was little was to never, EVER touch the organ... especially when he was playing it. The crew knew it too. Kimarie sighs and walks back down the hallway, running her hand along the wall as she goes.

Two eyes open in the hull as Kimarie's hand brushes right over them. A body, with an orange seaweed laced bandanna and poncho were clearly visible, seemed to come out from the wall. Chuckling to himself, Crustease pokes his head and upper body out and watches Kimarie walk down the hallway for a while, before phasing back onto the roof. Digging his claws into the ceiling, and in one swift movement, he clawed his way upside down to right over top of Kimarie like a spider. When she was almost to the stairs he phased part of his shins into the wall and reached down and grabbed Kimarie from behind.
He clamped one hand around her mouth and the other just floated in the air like a spider. He leans foreword and whispers in her ear. "Boo. You're it."

Kimarie turned around, hearing crackling. Narrowing her eyes, she turned back around just to be stopped in her tracks. Her eyes opened wide in her tracks. Father? Long green fingers wrapped around her mouth and then she heard a familiar voice.
Boo. You're it.
She half smiles behind the long fingers, Crustease... She reaches up to grab the arm that they belonged to. Using all her body weight and strength she gives a hard yank she pulls Crustease out of the wall. She spins around and watches him fall and hit the floor with a THUD.
She flinches as the organ seems to skip a beat. She was going to get in trouble for that later, why he wasn't out now she did not know. She pulls Crustease's hand away from her mouth and drops his hand to the floor. "Yeah? Well I got you right back."

Crustease was never good at staying half way phased threw things. He laughs at Kimarie's surprise when she did something he didn't suspect. She pulled... and gravity took over. THUD.
He was on the ground and looking up at the ceiling where he had just been. Crustease could swear he saw stars bouncing 'round his head. He sat up half way, leaning on his elbow for support, while the other one went to his head to stop it from spinning. Still dizzy, and seeing stars he looked up at Kimarie. "Yeah yeah..." he said standing up all the way. "That'sa nota really what I wanteda to geta youa for." he says with a hand still clutched to his head. He shook his head slightly and dropped his hand to his ear. "You heara dat?"

Kimarie smiles at her friend, probably the only one she would ever do that to... and not get in trouble. Crustease and Kimarie have been good friends since the first day they met on the beach. She never really dared to ask his past, but she's always wanted to know. She knew he had a family, but never knew what happened to them. But Crustease never liked to talk about it. He gets very angry, in fact, she didn't think she'd seen anyone, with an exception of her father, that can get that angry.
You heara dat?
Kimarie looks back at Crustease. She had been starring off into her own thoughts, but his question interupted her thinking. She tilted her head slightly to one side, curious... and not hearing what ever he heard. She listens harder. ... Other than the crew wadling about, her father's organ and hte wind picking up... no.

Crustease puts his hands on his hips. "You cannonta?" He sighs and drops his arms. "Maybe youra hearinga isa justa failinga..." he says with a joking smile. Taking her hand inside his, he gives a tug and smiles. "Followa me!" he says running down the small hallway and up to the deck. "Can youa heara ita here?" he asks again, letting go of her hand. "Surely youa cana heara it!"

((OOC: It's alright. ))
Kimarie was just about to say something, when she was all of a sudden pulled down the hallway and up onto the deck. She looked at Crustease and raised a brow confused, then tried again. This time, along with the organ music and hte crew, was the creeking timber on the ship, and the sound of the waves hitting the side of the Dutchman and that was it.
"Nope." She says simply. "I bet my father's playing doesn't help my ear either..." she adds with a half smile. Then it fades into a frown. "You know what? He probably heard that... He hears everything that goes on his ship." she pauses. "That's gonna come back to haunt me..."

Crustease laughs. Only Kimarie could say something like that about the Captain and get away with it... without to to much trouble...
His laugh soon fades into a chuckle. He takes a long crab ended finger and points just off the port bow. In the distance, hte very far distance, barely visible is a storm. Huge dark almost black clouds with a few streaks of lightning. With a smile he says, "It's a storma." he smiles. "Hopefullya that'lla improva the captain'sa mood." he adds quietly. "It's abouta.." he apuses to think and look again. "15 miles ofa da porta bow." he says with a grin. He keeps his finger pointing, and adjusts Kimarie so she could see it better. "Therea."

Kimarie had to lean on the railing to see it. She still couldn't even see it.
"Whoa!" Kimarie says with a smile of delight. "That is really far away!" She lets Crustease adjust her position and she looks right down his finger to the clouds in the distance. She gives a disapointed sigh. "I still don't see it..."
She turns around, and leans her back against the rail. Looking at Crustease, she sighs. "Hopefully it will." she sighs. "He hasn't been in there for this long before..." she says with a frown towards the way of Davy Jones' cabin. She sighs again, then looks back at Crustease. Her frown curves to a half smile, and she turns around again to look at the point where the storm was suppost to be. She looks even harder to find the storm but still is unable to see it.

Crustease stands back and puts his hands on his hips as he watches Kimarie try to see the storm. "Oh..." he says with a playful push on her head. "I havea forgotena. Youra eyes are rottena." he teases.
His smile turns grave and he shifts his weight to one leg. "Aye, the capitaine hasn'ta been ina gooda mooda lately." he sighs and follows her gaze to the direction of the Captain's Cabin. He shivers. "Hopefullya he wonta take ita outa on usa." He watches as she turns around to try and look for the storm.
"You wonta see ita." he half smiles. "I've beena doing thisa for 70 yearsa." he chuckles.

"Hey!" Kimarie shreiks happily as her head was pushed. "Rotten eyes... pah! I've got better eyes then you would ever wish to have!" she sticks out her tongue. "As for father. He wont harm you much, just so long as you do what your suppost to do and don't mess up." she chukles.
"70 years? Already? You?" Kimarie looks at Crustease in disbeleif. "Now way." she wrinkles her nose. "That makes you like... almost 100 years old!"

Kimaie cuckled. "Yeah. You lousy bunch of men will end up getting me in trouble!" She smiles, and alughs harder at Crustease's reaction to him being 'old'. "Don't say that infront of the others... you'll get in deep trouble..." she smiles.
